Prices for used cars have decreased in Russia

Average car prices in the Russian secondary market decreased by 5.1% at the end of 2025 compared to the first quarter. The average price was 750 thousand rubles, and demand in October — December was 12.3% higher than in the third quarter. Compared to the first quarter, demand increased by 6.9%. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this on January 19.

The largest price reductions were recorded for Chevrolet Lanos (-5.6%; up to 170 thousand rubles), Hyundai Santa Fe (-5.1%; up to 1.65 million rubles), Audi A6 (-4.8%; up to 1 million rubles), Hyundai Sonata (-4.8%; up to 690 thousand rubles) and BMW X5 (-4.6%; up to 2.72 million rubles).

Audi Q7 (-3.9%; up to 2.69 million rubles), Lexus RX (-3.8%; up to 2.55 million rubles), Kia Spectra (-3.4%; up to 280 thousand rubles), Kia Sorento (-3.2%; up to 1.5 million rubles) and Ford Mondeo (-3.1%; up to 630 thousand rubles).

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Lada, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen cars became the most in demand. The top 10 most popular models included Lada Priora, Lada Granta, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio, Ford Focus and four more models Lada Kalina, 4x4 ("Niva"), 2114 Samara and Vesta.

Earlier that day, it was reported that Mazda, whose cars are not officially supplied to Russia, entered the top ten in terms of sales in the Russian market. It took the ninth position in the overall brand rating, ahead of the domestic brand Solaris.
