A solar flare of class X, the maximum intensity level, has been recorded at the moment. This was announced on January 18 by the press service of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy (XRAS) of the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"It peaked at 21:09 Moscow time. The score is X1.95. The first outbreak of the highest level in 2026," the Telegram channel said.
