Ekaterina Savelyeva, an aspiring actress from Samara, disappeared and could have joined a dangerous sect. As Izvestia found out on January 18, recently, publications began to appear on the girl's social networks advertising questionable trainings and women's workshops related to the name of Pavel Rakov, known for his controversial methods.

According to relatives, the girl became a member of the Wisdom and Power community, which has the characteristics of a sect: aggressive advertising, rigid internal hierarchy and the use of pseudoscientific and esoteric practices.

Shortly before her disappearance, Ekaterina informed her family that she was leaving for Kazakhstan "to study from her school." Later, she was seen in one of the cities of this country, where she asked for money from passers-by. It also turned out that in order to complete the tasks of the "school" she took out a loan in the amount of 3 million rubles.

After that, the woman was spotted in Moscow, where she was restoring her lost passport. Her first and last name changed on her social media, and boilerplate messages began to arrive from her account, unlike her usual communication style.

Relatives have filed a police report and are continuing the search, hoping that Ekaterina is alive and has not become a victim of manipulation by sectarians.

At the end of December last year, a source from Izvestia reported that members of the sect "Vird followers of the Batal-Hadji Belkhoroev movement" (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) abducted Muscovites and illegally appropriated their real estate. On the same day, members of Belkhoroev's group were detained in Moscow, Ingushetia and Chechnya.

A source from Izvestia reported on June 18 that the Estamirov clan, associated with the Batal-Hadji sect, had been searched. Members of the clan are suspected of financing members of a terrorist organization. Khamzat Estamirov, Mikail Khachubarov, Ibrahim Estamirov, Abdul-Mazhit Albogachiev and Abu Estamirov were under suspicion.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
