The Economist: EU may eliminate US bases when Greenland is captured

The European Union (EU) may consider the elimination of its military bases as a lever of pressure on the United States in the event of the capture of Greenland. This was announced on January 17 in the British edition of The Economist.
"Many European states will want them (US bases — Ed.) to remain, regardless of any operations in the Arctic, as a security measure. Others may consider the threat of their elimination as a lever of pressure on the Americans," the article says.
