The soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told the details of the liberation of Zakotny in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on January 18.

According to Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov, the intensity of the use of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) near this settlement has reached such a level that it makes it inaccessible for penetration. The meeting with the fighters who participated in the assault took place in the rear area.

"You won't be able to take every fortification just in a rifle battle. <...> They (the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They always try to detain us on the street, they don't give us a chance to go into hiding. <...> There are two minutes to take cover," explained the commander of the motorized rifle platoon of the 7th brigade of the South group of forces with the call sign Bugor.

As Bugor noted, during one of the clashes, the enemy was cut off from communication with the headquarters and had no information about the deployment and support of neighboring units. The neo-Nazis were caught off guard. The soldiers of the South unit demonstrated efficiency: they promptly neutralized one enemy infantryman and wounded another. Three minutes later, the enemy's positions were hit by our FPV drone.

"We performed tasks directly entering the enemy's rear using the surprise effect. <...> Someone surrenders is the right decision. Diversionary tactics are used: nowadays, everything is suppressed by electronic warfare (electronic warfare. — Ed.)," the deputy platoon commander of the 7th brigade of the South group of forces with the call sign Tokha told the details.

The day before, the Russian army liberated Zakotnoye in the DPR and Zhovtnevoye in the Zaporizhia region. In addition, Russian military personnel also eliminated more than 1,340 Ukrainian soldiers, destroyed their tank, 16 armored combat vehicles, 132 vehicles and six field artillery pieces.
