The State Duma announced an increase in payments in August for pensioners who worked in 2025

Pensioners who continued to work officially in 2025 and for whom employers transferred insurance contributions to the Social Fund of Russia will be able to count on an increase in their pension starting in August. Alexey Govyrin, a State Duma deputy from United Russia, told RIA Novosti about this on January 18.

"In August 2026, payments will be increased to elderly people who continued to work officially after retirement and for whom employers transferred insurance premiums to the Social Fund of Russia last year," the parliamentarian said.

According to the MP, pension indexation will be carried out automatically. The amount of the increase will be calculated based on the receipts to the pension system for the previous year. It is noted that the right to recalculation is granted regardless of the length of work experience, whether it is one month or a full working year. The amount of the increase itself will be determined taking into account the period during which the citizen worked last year.
