US President Donald Trump announced that Vice President Jay Dee Vance and his wife Usha Vance will be part of the American delegation to the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. This was announced on January 17 by the CBS television channel.

"On Saturday, President Trump announced that a presidential delegation led by Vice President J. D. Vance and his wife will travel to Italy for the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics," the publication says.

The delegation also included U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. Ambassador to Italy Tilman Fertitta, 2018 Olympic medalist Monique Lamoureux-Morando, 2002 and 2006 Olympic short track champion Apolo Ohno, as well as figure skater and Olympic champion of the 2010 Winter Games Evan Lysacek.

The Winter Olympic Games will be held from February 6 to 22 in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
