Attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have led to power outages in a significant part of the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on January 18 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.
"As a result of the enemy's attack on the energy infrastructure of the region, the power outage affected a significant part of the Zaporizhia region," Balitsky wrote.
Emergency crews are working on site to eliminate the consequences of the impact. He specified that socially important facilities are connected to backup power sources, generators are working to provide water supply, as well as critical infrastructure.
Balytsky reported on January 15 that about 87 thousand consumers in the Zaporizhia region were left without electricity due to an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
