- Medvedchuk pointed to Zelensky's desire not to hold presidential elections in Ukraine.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky is thinking about how to "push through" so as not to hold elections in the country and not lose power. This was stated on January 17 by the head of the Other Ukraine movement, the former leader of the Opposition Platform - For Life party banned in Ukraine, Viktor Medvedchuk.
"[Zelensky] has already sold Ukraine to the United States, and all that remains is to drain and dispose of it. The Narcofuhrer knows this and is in no hurry, thinking about how to get through," Medvedchuk said.
According to the politician, Zelensky can agree to the elections only if they are guaranteed to be falsified. Medvedchuk stressed that in order to hold fair elections, it is necessary to repeal anti-Russian laws, return their legitimate rights to Ukrainian citizens and allow all Ukrainians, including those in the Russian Federation, to vote. Without this, in his opinion, the election results will be illegitimate.
On December 26, the head of the Servant of the People faction of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, David Arakhamia, announced that the Ukrainian authorities were preparing to hold elections, including presidential ones, using online voting. Arahamia noted that, as a former IT specialist, he sees no fundamental obstacles to such a system, since online formats are already used in the work of committees and votes in the Parliament of Ukraine.
Earlier in the day, Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, said that Kiev did not have enough money to hold elections in the country. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called this statement a ploy to get money from the West.
