The driver of a Porsche that rammed a traffic police car in Balashikha, Moscow region, was charged. This was announced on January 17 by the Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region.

"A 47-year—old man has been charged with using violence against a police officer, as well as intentionally damaging property," the department's Telegram channel reported.

It turned out that the violator was deprived of his driver's license. During the interrogation, he refused to testify. The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.

The day before, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, reported that in the city of Balashikha, Moscow region, police used weapons to prevent illegal actions by the driver of a premium car. She said that the driver of the foreign car did not stop at the request of the inspectors, but only increased his speed. He also collided twice with official vehicles that tried to block the violator's movement.

Later it became known that the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the fact of illegal actions committed against a police officer, as well as damage to property (Articles 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)
