- Russians were warned about the impact of errors in the workbook on the pension amount
Inaccuracies and errors in the entries of the workbook may lead to the fact that some periods of work will not be counted in the insurance record, which will reduce the amount of future pension. Tatiana Podolskaya, an expert at the Presidential Academy, warned about this on January 17 in an interview with TASS.
The most common mistakes, according to the expert, include: incorrect or incomplete name of the organization, lack of a record of its renaming, as well as inaccuracies in the dates of employment or dismissal.
"If there are errors in the workbook, the corresponding periods of work may not be counted in the insurance record," noted Podolskaya.
She clarified that some mistakes can be corrected through the current employer, but if the organization is liquidated, the issue often has to be resolved through the courts.
The expert also drew attention to such frequent inaccuracies as the inconsistency of the position with the staffing table or incomplete reflection of changes in the personal data of the employee.
Earlier that day, Elena Tsatsura, a senior researcher at the INSAP Laboratory of Living Standards and Social Protection at the Presidential Academy, said that most often payments provided to pensioners are non-public, but there are five categories of additional social measures that citizens may miss without making an appropriate application for them.
