Starting in March 2026, gas service specialists will have the right to turn off gas supply if consumers systematically violate safety regulations. This was announced on January 17 by a lecturer at the Department of Family and Housing Law of the O.E. Kutafin Moscow State Law University George Pachulia.

"Such violations include the non—admission of specialists for scheduled inspections of gas equipment, ignoring the instructions of the gas service for troubleshooting, the operation of expired gas equipment, as well as the detection of malfunctions in the operation of gas equipment," Pachulia said in an interview with TASS.
