More than 40 types of payments will be indexed in Russia from February 1

Starting from February 1, more than 40 types of social benefits, allowances, and compensations will be indexed in the Russian Federation, and the amount of indexation will be determined based on the actual increase in consumer prices for 2025. This was announced on January 16 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Labor.

According to RIA Novosti, the indexation coefficient for the current year is set at 1,056, which will lead to an increase in payments by 5.6%. The relevant draft government resolution has been submitted for public discussion.

The allowance for the birth of the first child will also be raised to almost 28.5 thousand rubles. About 76.5 thousand rubles will be paid monthly to women who have been awarded the title of "Mother Heroine."

Experts expect that this will help in the fight against personnel starvation.

The Russian government plans to develop forms of home-based, temporary and flexible employment for older citizens. To achieve this goal, the regional authorities should implement thematic projects and events. They must also submit an annual report to the Russian Ministry of Labor.
