- The traffic police told about the possible introduction of new restrictions on the Crimean bridge
For vehicles weighing more than one and a half tons, travel on the Crimean Bridge may be restricted. This was announced on January 16 by Anatoly Borisenko, head of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Republic of Crimea.
As Borisenko noted in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, these measures will reduce the load on the bridge.
"We understand that the flow towards Dzhankoy along the Novorossiya highway will increase. It will be four—lane in the future," he added.
The information center, which covers the situation on the automobile approaches, reported on January 3 that more than 1,000 vehicles had accumulated in front of the inspection points on the Crimean Bridge. It was clarified that as of 18:00 Moscow time, 1127 vehicles are in line from Taman.
