The Ministry of Health reported on 19 victims of the explosion in Syktyvkar who remained in hospitals.

Currently, 19 people injured in the explosion of a stun grenade at the Interior Ministry's Vocational Training Center in Syktyvkar remain in hospitals in the Komi Republic. This was announced on January 16 by representatives of the regional Ministry of Health.

"As of 19:00 Moscow time on Friday, 12 victims still remain in the Ezhvinsky city hospital and the Komi Republican Hospital, one (new victim - Ed.) was added to the medical unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where six people are already receiving treatment," they said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The agency's interlocutors clarified that the condition of the nine injured, who received the most severe injuries, remained the same: four of them are in extremely serious condition, and five more are in serious condition.

The death toll from the incident has increased to 12 people.

A source from Izvestia reported a fire at the Interior Ministry's training center in Syktyvkar on January 15. It was noted at the time that one of the reasons for the incident, which resulted in a criminal case being opened in accordance with Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code ("Negligence that negligently caused serious harm to health or death of a person"), could have been the explosion of a stun grenade.

Initially, it was reported that 18 people were hospitalized, and then it was reported that the number of injured increased to 20 people, nine of whom were in serious or extremely serious condition.
