Zakharova joked about the Tymoshenko case and Zelensky's theft

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that only Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko can explain why Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is stealing, and Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the Batkivshchyna party, will go to prison.

So Zakharova made a reference to Klitschko's ambiguous and confusing statements.

"Only Klitschko can explain why Zelensky steals and Tymoshenko goes to jail," the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry wrote on the Telegram channel.

Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian court chose a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of about $760 thousand for Tymoshenko, accused of bribing deputies. At the same time, Tymoshenko is forbidden to leave the Kiev region without prior permission from the investigation.

On January 14, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) released audio footage of Tymoshenko's negotiations on bribing deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, where she offers them money for a "correct" vote. On the same day, the party leader wrote on a social network that she had nothing to do with the audio recordings of her voice published by NABU. Later, her accounts were blocked pending a court decision. The party leader then stated that she would not be able to post bail for her arrest.
