In Komi, the head of the Interior Ministry training center was suspended after a fire

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic, Andrei Sitsky, dismissed the head of the regional Interior Ministry's vocational training center after a fire at a training center in Syktyvkar. This was announced on January 16 by the press service of the department.

"This decision was made in connection with the incident that occurred the day before. On January 15, during training sessions in one of the premises," the department's page on the VKontakte social network says.

It is specified that at the moment all the circumstances of the incident are being established.

A fire at the Interior Ministry's Vocational Training Center in Syktyvkar was reported on January 15. It was noted that a stun grenade exploded in the building at 12:25 Moscow time. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence that negligently caused serious harm to health or death of a person").

On the same day, Russian Assistant Minister of Health Alexei Kuznetsov announced that 18 people had been hospitalized after the explosion at the Interior Ministry Training Center in Syktyvkar. Later, on January 16, it became known that the number of victims had increased to 20 people.

On the same day, the Komi Ministry of Health reported that nine victims of the incident at the training center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Komi are in serious or extremely serious condition. It was clarified that four of them are in extremely serious condition being treated at the Ezhvin city hospital, five of them are in the republican hospital.
