Central University and Kaspersky Lab will prepare the Russian national team for the Cybersecurity Olympiad. For the second year in a row, Central University and Kaspersky Lab will prepare the Russian national team to participate in the International Cybersecurity Olympiad to be held in Australia. This was reported by the press service of the Central University.

At the previous, first International Cybersecurity Olympiad in Singapore in 2025, the Russian national team won the most medals: three gold, three silver and two bronze. The success of the Russian national team was due to the training of experts from the Central University together with Kaspersky Lab, the university emphasized.

Also, following the performance of the Russian national team in Singapore, Ekaterina Protsko, head of the recruitment and Olympiad track at Central University, joined the International Cybersecurity Olympiad Committee last year.

The International Cybersecurity Olympiad will be held from June 27 to July 2, 2026. Schoolchildren from Russia aged 14 and over who have good knowledge in the field of information security are invited to participate in the selection process. The advantage will be the experience of participating in specialized Olympiads and competitions, including WSSH information Security and CTF tournaments.

To participate in the selection, you must register on a specialized website by February 7 and complete the qualification stage in CTF format. As a result, 50 students will be invited to the face-to-face selection stage, which will take place from February 28 to March 7 and will consist of three rounds with various tasks and time constraints.Based on the results of the selection, the Russian national team will be formed.

Participants will be trained on the basis of the Central University according to individual programs. All expenses, including preparation, travel to Australia and participation in the Olympics, will be borne by the Central University and Kaspersky Lab.
