Russian drivers have become more familiar with the variety of Chinese cars and more quickly understand which of the offers on the market suits them. On January 16, Artem Khomutinnikov, sales manager of the New Cars department at Avito, told Izvestia about this.

"If in 2024 they often came with a broad request for "just Haval" or "just Jetour", then in 2025 they are increasingly choosing specifics: "Geely Monjaro in Pro configuration" or "Jetour T2 with all-wheel drive". This is an important signal of market maturity: the user stopped looking for "some Chinese" and started comparing specific models and offers, just like 10-15 years ago it happened with "Koreans" and "Japanese," Khomutinnikov shared.

According to Avito Auto, Haval, Chery, Changan, Geely and Jetour cars were the most in demand in 2025. Among the models most popular among users of the platform were Haval Jolion and M6, Jetour Dashing, Chery Tiggo 4, Omoda C5, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Geely Monjaro, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Haval F7 and H3.

The average price of a new Chinese car was 3.14 million rubles. Among the models, the BAIC X7 (-38%; up to 1.92 million rubles), Livan S6 pro (-36%; up to 1.69 million rubles), Kaiyi X3 pro (-31.5%; up to 1.72 million rubles), FAW Bestune T77 (-31.2%; up to 2.08 million rubles) and BAIC X55 (-30.6%; up to 2.26 million rubles).

On January 14, car dealers warned that in the first quarter of 2026, new passenger cars in Russia will continue to rise in price, adding an average of 5-10%. According to their estimates, prices for new passenger cars in the Russian Federation have increased by an average of 1.5–3% since January 2026.
