Traditional dental implantation, which involves multi-stage treatment and waiting for implants to take root for up to a year, is becoming a thing of the past. Modern approaches make it possible to radically reduce the duration of rehabilitation, returning the patient to a full life in just a few days. This was stated by maxillofacial surgeon, founder of the Estetus clinic, Candidate of Medical Sciences Sevak Barseghyan in an interview with Izvestia on January 18.

As the expert noted, today the priorities are not only long-term results, but also patient comfort, as well as minimizing treatment time. Progress has become possible thanks to a new understanding of biomechanics: if it was previously believed that an implant should take root at rest, it has now been proven that a metered load stimulates tissue repair. This principle, similar to modern approaches in traumatology, where stress replaces prolonged immobilization, is now applied in implantology.

"Dr. Sevak's patented technique has become a concrete embodiment of this approach. It allows you to fix a permanent prosthesis immediately after the implants are installed, reducing the total duration of treatment to three days. A key element of the technology is a single cast titanium beam operating on the principle of an arch bridge. It takes on the chewing pressure and, through precise mathematical calculations, evenly distributes the load on all implants, protecting each from overload," the expert explained.

The pressure created, according to him, stimulates blood circulation and significantly accelerates the process of osseointegration — the fusion of the implant with the bone.

This approach transforms the entire treatment experience for the patient: the time is reduced from several months to three days, the ability to chew returns the very next day, and the psychological discomfort of wearing temporary fragile structures is completely eliminated.

As the surgeon emphasized, shortening deadlines is not a marketing ploy, but the result of scientific progress, which makes it possible to create systems that work in harmony with the body from day one.

Anastasia Kardakova, a periodontist, dentist and expert at REVIXAN, told Izvestia on November 18 about the health-threatening symptoms in her mouth. According to her, a thin plaque on the tongue in the morning is a variant of the norm: it appears due to dryness or leftover food. But if the plaque is dense, cheesy, accompanied by a burning sensation and an unpleasant odor, this may indicate a fungal infection (oral candidiasis).
