BAW has achieved cheaper off-road vehicles in Russia by reducing power

The BAW 212 T01 diesel SUV has become cheaper in Russia by 800 thousand rubles due to the adaptation of the power unit to the new recycling rules. This was reported on January 16 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the press service of BAW Russia.

The diesel engine was deforged from 170 to 156 hp by changing the program settings. The price of the model decreased from 4.4 million to 3.6 million rubles.

The company noted that the decision was made as part of adapting the model to the conditions of the Russian market. At the same time, the diesel unit is still focused on operation in harsh conditions, including off-road driving, long runs and the use of the car in professional tasks, the representatives of the brand said.

The BAW 212 T01 has a two-liter turbodiesel in conjunction with a ZF automatic transmission, a downshift and interlocks, a frame structure, factory Russification of the interface and a package of winter options.
