According to a study on key trends in the current year's labor market, 2026 will be a period of pragmatism and operational efficiency. Success will be determined not by scale, but by flexibility, speed, and quality of management decisions. Oksana Morsina, Managing partner of Regroup, told Izvestia about this on January 16.
According to her, the main request of the business will be related to getting the most out of the available resources. The focus is on auditing and optimizing organizational structures, developing hybrid forms of employment and internal talent, and introducing artificial intelligence (AI) into analytics for forecasting and decision-making.
The boards of directors are currently focusing on strategic investments, applying AI to optimize business models, and strengthening long-term motivation (LTI) programs for top management.
According to the expert, the crisis of "burning out" leaders is coming to an end. She also noted the demand for managers who are able to strengthen the team, rather than exhaust it. In addition, there is expected to be an increase in demand for coaching for top managers on the topics of sustainability, informed leadership and management in the face of uncertainty. The Atlantean leaders, who took over the business in 2022 and carried it out on their shoulders, are being replaced by demiurges who are able to think strategically and find opportunities for development even in difficult economic conditions.
The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Alexander Shokhin, said on December 25 last year that in 2026, Russian business expects an inflation rate of 4.5%, as well as the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, which will be close to single digits.
