A young male Amur tiger was captured in the vicinity of a seaside village
In the Kavalerovsky district of Primorsky Krai, a conflicted Amur tiger was captured, which often went out to the settlement. The Amur Tiger Center reports this in its Telegram channel.
The capture took place on Friday, January 16, in the vicinity of the village of Zerkalnoye. A young male tiger was given a veterinary examination, for which he was transported to Alekseevka.
According to PrimaMedia news agency, Rosprirodnadzor will decide the fate of the striped owner of the taiga. The capture was carried out by inspectors of the Hunting Supervision together with employees of the Amur Tiger Center.
The decision to capture the Amur tiger was made in connection with his systematic visits to the Mirror. As security measures, local residents were asked not to go outside at night, not to let children go without adult supervision, lock yard dogs and not to go out into the woods unnecessarily.
Such tigers, like a male captured from a Mirror, are called conflict tigers. In general, any predator's approach to people or populated areas, including normal visual contact, is considered a conflict situation.
