30 brands changed prices for new cars in Russia in early January
From January 1 to January 15, 2026, 30 car brands immediately changed the prices of their new cars. One or more models rose in price for 28 of them, and two more had multidirectional price changes, the Autostat analytical agency reported on January 16.
Among Chinese car brands, prices were increased by BAIC, Changan, Chery, Dongfeng, Exeed/Exlantix, FAW, GAC, Geely, Haval, Jaecoo, Jetour, Knewstar, Lixiang, Oting, Omoda, Rox, Soueast, Tank and Wey.
Lada has increased prices for a number of different modifications of Granta, Iskra, Vesta, Niva Legend and Travel. At the same time, the Aura and Largus models have become cheaper. Among other Russian brands, prices have increased for UAZ, Moskvich, Xcite, Evolute, Tenet and Solaris. At the same time, at Sollers, some clothes went up in price, while others fell in price.
As for non-Chinese foreign cars, the prices of the Belarusian brand Belgee and Korean KGM models have also increased.
The price increase, depending on the brand and model, ranged from 0.1% to 12.4%.
On January 14, car dealers warned that in the first quarter of 2026, new passenger cars in Russia will continue to rise in price, adding an average of 5-10%. According to their estimates, prices for new passenger cars in the Russian Federation have increased by an average of 1.5–3% since January 2026.
