The Arbitration Court has closed the process of considering the claim of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation against Euroclear

The Moscow Arbitration Court has closed the consideration of the claim of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation against the Belgian depository Euroclear. This was reported on January 16 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

It is clarified that in this way the court granted the petition of the Central Bank of Russia, which asked to close the meeting, since the case will contain materials with limited access information, namely bank secrecy.

"Given the unprecedented amount of the claim, we believe that the trial should take place behind closed doors," said a representative of the regulator.

In turn, the representative of the defendant clarified that Euroclear, for its part, requested that the case be dismissed.
