Air defense forces shot down 11 UAVs over five districts and two cities of the Voronezh region

The Air Defense Forces shot down 11 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over five districts and two cities of the Voronezh region. This was announced on January 16 by the governor of the region, Alexander Gusev.

"Last night, 11 unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and destroyed by the air defense forces on duty in the skies over five districts and two cities of the Voronezh Region," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

According to the governor, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident.

On January 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces had destroyed and intercepted eight Ukrainian drones over four regions of Russia. It was clarified that three UAVs were eliminated over Bashkortostan, two drones were shot down over the territories of the Rostov and Samara regions, and one drone was destroyed over the Belgorod region.
