Britain supports the creation of the NATO Arctic Sentry mission in Greenland

London has publicly supported the NATO Arctic Sentry mission, which is planned to begin in order to strengthen the alliance's forces on the island of Greenland. This was announced on January 15 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Yvette Cooper.

"We want to see a stronger role for NATO, so that NATO really redoubles its efforts on Arctic security issues and develops the Arctic Sentry approach," she said in an interview with Politico.
