Putin signed a decree on holding a forum within the framework of the CSTO in Moscow
The International Collective Security Forum and other events within the framework of Russia's presidency of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be held in Moscow. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 15.
"I decree: to designate the city of Moscow as the venue for the International Forum for Collective Security and Other events within the framework of the Russian Federation's presidency of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2026," the document says, published on the website of the official Internet portal of legal information.
It is noted that a special organizing committee will be set up to hold the International Forum for Ensuring Collective Security and other events. In addition, the document appoints the chairman of the organizing committee, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexei Overchuk.
Earlier, Putin said on December 22 that the CIS countries advocate the formation of a new multipolar world order with the coordinating role of the United Nations. He also noted that the countries intend to work together to strengthen stability and common security.
