- Sewage disposal networks have been updated on the territory of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve
The renovation of wastewater disposal networks has been completed on the territory of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve in Moscow. This was announced on Thursday, January 15, according to the website of the Moscow City Hall.
Alexander Ponomarenko, General Director of Mosvodokanal, said that the company annually modernizes hundreds of kilometers of engineering networks. According to him, reconstruction decisions are made in advance on the basis of telediagnostics, which is carried out by a special unit that evaluates the condition of pipelines.
The reconstruction of the main sewer lines covered sections with a total length of about one kilometer. We are talking about large—diameter pipes - from 2.6 to 3 m, laid back in the last century to transport wastewater to the Kuryanovsky sewage treatment plants, the Moscow City News agency reports.
During the work, glass composite pipes were used, which are characterized by high strength, resistance to corrosion and chemical influences. Trenchless pipe-in-pipe technology was also used, which made it possible to restore communications without large-scale excavation work. As a result, the reliability of the sanitation system in the south of the capital has increased significantly.
Pipelines with a diameter of 100 to 200 mm and a total length of about 1.5 km were laid for the new objects of the museum-reserve — catering points and public toilets. These works were also carried out by horizontal directional drilling, writes "Moscow 24".
The Moscow City Management Complex emphasized that when updating the networks, materials of domestic production are used, which are durable, resistant to loads and pressure, as well as a smooth inner surface that reduces the risk of deposits and increases the service life of the system.
