The organizer of the assassination attempt on writer Zakhar Prilepin was identified during the investigation, thanks to the active assistance of convict Alexander Permyakov. This is reported in court documents available to RIA Novosti.

"As a result of Permyakov's active contribution to the investigation of the case, the organizer of the crime was identified, and a criminal case was opened against him," said a representative of Prilepin's defense.

The Supreme Court confirmed Permyakov's life sentence for the attempted murder of Prilepin.
