Preparations for Epiphany bathing have begun in Lipetsk

The lane for the Baptismal font began to be cut on the Central Beach in Lipetsk on Thursday, January 15. The work is being carried out by rescuers of the city department of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations.

The structure itself will be installed tomorrow. A safe descent into the water will be arranged nearby, lighting will be installed and heated tents for changing clothes will be installed.

Residents of Lipetsk will be able to load into the ice hole on January 19. Hot tea will also be provided for the participants. Rescuers, doctors and police officers will also be on duty there.

According to GOROD48, this year the Central Beach became the only place in the regional capital that was used for swimming.
