The Russian Federation's position on the Ukrainian conflict is well known and does not need additional signals. Moscow is open to an equal dialogue, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in response to a question from Izvestia.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that Moscow does not see the slightest readiness for dialogue from the European side.

European leaders are not only not ready to discuss the causes and a peaceful settlement, but they are also determined to disrupt the work of Moscow and Washington to solve the problems, Zakharova added, commenting on the call of the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen to show readiness for a peaceful settlement.

"European leaders are not only not ready to discuss the causes and possibilities of resolving the Ukrainian crisis, but they are always determined to torpedo any Russian and American initiatives to find peaceful ways to resolve the conflict, to promote Russophobia, and to further escalate," she concluded.
