After the explosion of a stun grenade and the subsequent fire, the Vocational Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Syktyvkar will continue to operate as usual. This was reported on January 15 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic.

It is specified that all the victims of the incident are students of the educational institution of the department, employees of the Interior Ministry system.

"There are several buildings, the fire occurred only in one building, in the assembly hall area, and the classrooms [are located] in another building and they were not injured. The incident will not affect the work of the center," TASS quoted the source as saying.

A fire at the Interior Ministry's Vocational Training Center in Syktyvkar was reported earlier on January 15. It was noted that a stun grenade exploded in the building at 12:25 Moscow time. Eight people were hospitalized after the fire, and another refused medical help. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence that negligently caused serious harm to health or death of a person").
