A traffic accident involving a children's bus and two passenger cars occurred on 9 km of the Arkhangelsk-Severodvinsk highway M-8. This was reported to Izvestia on January 15 in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Arkhangelsk region.

"This afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred on 9 km of the Arkhangelsk-Severodvinsk highway. Information was received from eyewitnesses about the collision of two passenger cars and a children's bus," the report says.

Fire and rescue units were sent to the scene of the accident. By the time they arrived, one of the cars had gone into a ditch and caught fire. The fire was promptly eliminated.

It was clarified that there were six teenagers on the bus. So that the children would not be left in the cold, they were temporarily placed in the car of the Emergency Situations Ministry task force, where they were under the supervision of specialists until the arrival of doctors and parents. According to preliminary data, none of the minors were injured.

The circumstances of the accident are being determined by traffic police officers.

On January 15, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Chelyabinsk region reported the deaths of two people and four injured in a collision between two cars. Traffic police officers and a police investigative team were working at the scene. An accident investigation is underway.
