Two sea fonts will be opened in Vladivostok for Epiphany

In Vladivostok, two sea fonts will be equipped for Epiphany. Medics and rescuers will be on duty during the traditional ablution of the faithful.

According to the PrimaMedia news agency, Jordani will appear on Russian Island and on the embankment in the city center. Wooden paths, steps and railings will be installed at the fonts 15 m from the shore the day before the event.

The font at the Sveto-Serafimovsky Monastery on Russian Island will be available on January 19 from 12 to 14 o'clock. It will be possible to perform the ablution ceremony on the embankment on the night of January 18-19 from 22 to 2 o'clock.

Earlier in January, Izvestia reported on the history and spiritual meaning of the feast of Epiphany. The celebration is dedicated to a great event in the life of Jesus Christ — his baptism in the Jordan River.
