Today, metrostroevtsy began sinking the Serebryany Bor and Strogino Rublyovo-Arkhangelsk branches of the Moscow metro. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told about this in his channel in the MACH messenger.

The Lily tunneling shield with a diameter of 10 m has to pass 3.34 km. The particular difficulty of the excavation lies in the fact that the builders will have to tunnel under two large water barriers — the Moskva River and the Bolshoy Stroginsky floodplain. In order to ensure air circulation, the builders will use powerful fans, which will help to avoid creating ventilation shafts with access to the surface.

According to the mayor of the capital, six tunneling boards are currently working on the construction of the Rublevo-Arkhangelsk line. They have already completed the tunneling from Shelepikha station to General Karbyshev Boulevard station. Currently, work is underway on laying tracks and installing the necessary equipment at this site. This year, the Moscow authorities plan to open the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelsk branch line — from the Business Center to General Karbyshev Boulevard.

The Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line will have a total length of 27.6 km and will have 12 stations. It will run from the Moscow City MIBC beyond the MKAD to Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye and further to Krasnogorsk. The line will have transfers to the MCC, Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Bolshaya Koltsevaya metro lines.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
