In the Sakhalin region, the police are conducting an investigation into fraud, as a result of which a 72-year-old woman was injured. The pensioner lost almost 4 million rubles.
According to the victim, at the end of December, she received a message in a messenger about the need to digitize working documents. The woman clicked on the link in the message, received the code key and sent it to the chat. Soon, she was contacted by scammers who stated that the victim's account on the Gosuslugi portal had been hacked, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.
The woman trusted the scammers and transferred the funds to a "secure" account.
During the January holidays, phone scammers made more than 30 million calls to Russians. The most massive attack occurred on a resident of Tomsk, he received more than 2.5 thousand calls.
