From January 16 to 18, Moscow will host the Bicycle Courier event, aimed at preventing offenses among delivery service providers. The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced this in its Telegram channel on January 15.

During the preventive measure, traffic police will remind bike couriers of the need to be attentive on the road, respectful to pedestrians when moving along sidewalks, use protective equipment with retroreflective elements, and comply with the requirements of road signs and traffic lights.

"The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate regularly conducts raids and inspections aimed at ensuring compliance with traffic regulations by road users, including those who provide delivery services. Such measures are necessary to maintain order on the roads and prevent emergencies," the ministry noted.

Last time, a similar raid took place on November 15-16. Over the weekend, traffic police compiled 2.5 million administrative materials for traffic violations against delivery workers using bicycles and personal mobility equipment.

On January 14, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia warned about a new fraudulent scheme, according to which intruders act by posing as the administration of a driving school. Citizens receive phone calls on behalf of the driving school administration. The attackers require you to provide an authorization code to sign up for a class, activate a classroom, or confirm an exam.
