Two people were killed and four injured in a collision between two cars in the Chelyabinsk region. This was announced on January 15 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region.

"As a result of the accident, the passenger of the VAZ-2110 (a 17-year-old girl) and the passenger of the VAZ—2107 car (born in 2001) died from their injuries in a medical facility," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

The incident occurred on January 14 at 19:15 (17:15 Moscow time) on the 74th km of the Chernorechye–Chesma–Varna –Kartaly–Breda highway. According to preliminary data, a 20-year-old driver collided with a car while overtaking. It is specified that overtaking was allowed.

The department added that employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and the investigative task force of the police were working at the site. An accident investigation is underway.

Earlier, on January 12, a man died as a result of a bus collision in Kislovodsk. According to traffic police, the bus driver, who is a local resident, has no reputation for being a serious traffic violator and has 24 years of driving experience.
