A schoolgirl almost died from prescribed antidepressants in a private clinic
A teenage girl almost died after taking antidepressants, which she was prescribed in a private psychiatric center. This was reported by a source of Izvestia.
The girl faced real problems, and in December 2024, after a suicide attempt, her parents took her to a private psychiatric clinic. A large number of tests were performed, the schoolgirl was prescribed antidepressants, antipsychotics and antiepileptics, and was discharged on December 30.
As noted by the girl's mother Elena, she was in a good mood after discharge, but woke up in the morning with conjunctivitis.
"Then the lips swelled up, the mouth inside was covered with ulcers (as with stomatitis), the temperature was 39, a barely noticeable rash on the face," she said.
The child's condition was deteriorating before our eyes, the parents called an ambulance, including doctors from the infectious diseases hospital, and on January 1, the girl was urgently hospitalized in the Morozovskaya DMZ.
Doctors revealed that the teenager had a severe allergy to an antidepressant prescribed by a private psychologist. While taking the drug, toxic epidermal necrosis developed, and with it Lyell's syndrome, which, according to statistics, occurs in one in a million patients.
Nine students of school No. 3 in Kaliningrad were poisoned in the cafe "Bela Dona" LLC "SB39". It is specified that the victims have been examined, they are currently undergoing outpatient treatment.
