Russia strongly condemns the terrorist attack by the Kiev regime on civilian vessels in the Black Sea. The corresponding statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on January 14.

She said that the Kremlin agrees with the position of the Kazakh authorities on the importance of taking measures for the safe transportation of oil. According to her, it is necessary to "reason with the Kiev criminal regime" in order to secure transportation.

"We consider this barbaric attack as another confirmation that Kiev not only does not care about global energy stability, but also does not value the interests of Kazakhstan, with which they allegedly want to develop relations, as well as their American partners— the largest shareholders of CPC," she stressed.

Zakharova added that the Russian Federation supports Astana's thesis on the need for joint steps to prevent new terrorist attacks on tankers.

The news is being updated.
