Scientists have denied information about a possible collision of the asteroid CE2XZW2 with the Earth

The information spreading on the Web about the expected fall of the asteroid CE2XZW2 to Earth in the near future is not true. This was announced on January 14 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS.

Earlier, Nikolai Zheleznov, a senior researcher at the Institute of Applied Astronomy (IPA) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told RIA Novosti that the new asteroid CE2XZW2, discovered by scientists, was highly likely to collide with Earth.

"The information spreading on the web about the 10-meter asteroid CE2XZW2 expected to fall to Earth in the near future is unreliable," the laboratory wrote in its Telegram channel.
