The leader of the Ukrainian Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, who has been charged with bribing deputies, said she had nothing to do with the audio recordings of her voice published by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). She wrote about this on January 14 on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

"I officially declare that the released audio recordings have nothing to do with me," Tymoshenko said.

The politician added that she is ready to prove the alleged baselessness of the charges in court, as she "has done more than once."

On January 14, NABU released audio footage of Tymoshenko's negotiations on bribing deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, where she offers them money for a "correct" vote. The bureau also showed footage of the head of Batkivshchyna during searches at the party's office.

On January 13, it became known about the searches in the office of the Batkivshchyna party of Tymoshenko. It was clarified that the preliminary penalty would be in accordance with Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Offering, promising or providing an unlawful benefit to an official"). The leader of the Batkivshchyna party may face up to 10 years in prison as part of an anti-corruption investigation.
