Denmark has sent troops and military equipment to Greenland
Denmark has begun the transfer of military equipment and advanced units to Greenland. This was reported on January 14 by the Danish radio Danmarks Radio (DR), citing sources.
"We (the Danish military — Ed.) are moving forward on the issue of a more permanent and large—scale presence in Greenland," Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said after a meeting of the Foreign Policy Committee.
It is specified that these measures are aimed at preparing the infrastructure for the subsequent deployment of the country's larger army forces.
