An aggressive tigress with a paw injury was captured near a village in the Khabarovsk Territory

On the night of January 14, a female Amur tiger was captured in the village of Dolmi in the Lazovsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory. The predator was seen more than once on the outskirts of the village. Experts believe that the tigress came out of the taiga in search of food and hunted dogs.

IA AmurMedia, referring to the department of hunting of the regional government, writes that the young female tiger is about three years old. During the initial examination, she was found to be missing one phalanx on her right forelimb. Veterinarians will make a conclusion about her condition. It is possible that the aggressive behavior of the predator and its attempts to get to easy prey near human habitations are associated with injury to the limb.

This tigress is the second predator to be captured in the Khabarovsk Territory since the beginning of January 2026. A few days ago, motorists noticed an emaciated tiger cub near the village of Selikhino and the village of Yagodny in the Komsomolsk district. The inspectors who arrived at the scene found that the tiger cub was about 1 year old. He was in an extremely weakened state.

Now the tiger cub and the tigress are in a rehabilitation center. After providing first aid, specialists will decide on their further maintenance. It is possible that they will be returned to the wild.
