Bankruptcy of blogger Mitroshina postponed until April
The bankruptcy hearing of blogger Alexandra Mitroshina, accused of laundering 127 million rubles, has been postponed until April 6 after a dispute between the parties over the amount owed and a defense motion. This was reported on January 14 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
Mitroshina's representative requested that the proceedings be suspended, citing the fact that a desk tax audit was being conducted against the blogger. The defense also stated that some of the claims have already been repaid, pointing to the act of payment of 140 million rubles in October 2025. However, the inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service No. 33 in Moscow stated that no documents confirming the repayment of the debt had been received.
The Federal Tax Service filed for bankruptcy of Mitroshina on October 7, 2025. The case file shows the amount of claims for 211 million rubles. In parallel, the criminal proceedings against Mitroshina are continuing.
The blogger was detained on March 7 at Sochi airport, where she arrived from Dubai, and was charged with money laundering. Since March 2022, Mitroshina has lived in the United Arab Emirates and returned to Russia for the first time in three years.
On December 4, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow granted the petition of the state prosecution and extended the term of house arrest for blogger Alexandra Mitroshina for six months. The arrest was extended until May 1, 2026.
