Officials from Israel and several Arab countries are suggesting that the United States postpone strikes on Iran until the situation becomes more tense. This was reported on January 14 by NBC News.

On January 13, Trump called on the Iranian authorities to "show humanity" towards participants in mass rallies that turned into protests. The American leader said he was not going to discuss measures of potential influence on Iran, but announced a report "soon" on the issue.

According to CBS, between 12,000 and 20,000 people could have died during the protests in Iran.
