The former governor of the Ryazan region and senator Nikolai Lyubimov is accused of accepting several bribes totaling more than 270 million rubles. This was announced on January 14 by Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
"The circumstances of the corruption crime committed by <have been established...> By Nikolai Lyubimov. One of the bribes he received in the amount of 252 million rubles was intended for appointment to the post of vice-governor and general patronage," he said in an interview with TASS.
