Military pilot Alexander Verozub died at the age of 79.

The outstanding military pilot Alexander Verozub died at the age of 78. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Knights aerobatics group on January 13.

"We regret to inform you that an outstanding military aerobatic pilot, reserve Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vasilyevich Verozub, passed away at the age of 79," the Telegram channel said.

The cause of death and the date of farewell are not specified.

Alexander Vasilyevich was born in the Moscow region on May 24, 1947. In 1971, he graduated from the Kharkov Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots and five years later was transferred to the aviation technology demonstration group as an aerobatic pilot. For his service and high professionalism, Verozub was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals.
