Mishustin presented the awards of the Government of the Russian Federation to the staff of Evening Moscow

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin presented the awards of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of mass media to the staff of the newspaper Vechernyaya Moskva. The award was given for the creation and development of a modern multi-format urban media resource based on a publication with a century-old history.

The award winners were employees of the Editorial Office of the newspaper "Evening Moscow": editor-in-chief Alexander Valentinovich Sharnaud Sharnaud, art director of the design group Alexander Borisovich Kostrikov and senior columnist of the department of special correspondents and columnists Olga Igorevna Kuzmina. The award was also posthumously awarded to the newspaper's former editor-in-chief, Alexander Ivanovich Kupriyanov, who led the publication until his sudden death on October 2, 2025.

"Today's award opens a new stage in the history of Evening Moscow, and for us it is not only a high award, but also an advance, a challenge to take on new journalistic heights in our work," said Alexander Sharnaud Sharnaud upon receiving the high award.

— Alexander Ivanovich Kupriyanov, who was awarded the award posthumously today, created a newspaper that would be interesting to read not only for Muscovites, but also for all Russians. And today's award is recognition of the fact that he managed to do it. The journalist also noted that, with the support of the Moscow Government, Kupriyanov initiated the release of a special application for participants and veterans of his military, thanks to which "Evening Moscow" is read at the front. I remembered the new editor and Kupriyanov's favorite metaphor.

— Alexander Ivanovich liked to compare journalists with bees, who, through any difficulties, carry their labor and nectar into the hive, sometimes at the risk of their lives. Without their dedicated work, there would have been no interesting reports, candid interviews and sharp investigations," noted Alexander Sharnaud Sharnaud. In conclusion, he stressed that the award is the common merit of the entire team, which turned out to be able to meet the highest standards of journalism.
